IELTS tests are offered to students in two categories, for (1.) Academic Training, and for (2.) General Training. The first category IELTS test is for students who want to study at an English-speaking country. The second type of IELTS test is for those who want to work, take training programs, or migrate to an English-speaking country. Both types of IELTS exams have the same Listening and Speaking tests, but separate Reading and Writing tests. IELTS tests have four parts:

#1. IELTS Listening Test (30 minutes),
#2. IELTS Reading Test (60 minutes),
#3. IELTS Writing Test (60 minutes), and
#4. The IELTS Speaking Test (11-14 minutes).

You will take your IELTS/ ielts Listening test first, while the Reading and Writing tests follow later on the same day. Depending on the IELTS/ ielts test centre, your Speaking test may be takenon the same day or withina week before or after the other tests.

Remember that you will not fail or pass in your exam, and your IELTS/ ielts scores are graded on a 9-band system. Your final test result will grade your individual band scores for Listening, Reading, Writing and Speakingtests, along with an Overall Band Score on a scale of1 to 9.
