It is completely normal if you\u2019re nervous because it is a cause of worry if you aren\u2019t. Being nervous is a way of telling you that you are actually ready and you\u2019re afraid that you\u2019ve missed out on something, which is not true. It is just your body\u2019s way of showing how much you need that job. Here are 5 different body gestures that show you\u2019re nervous and how you must avoid them.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Fidgeting:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Playing around with keys, spinning a pen, biting your nails, not making eye contact etc are actions that show that you\u2019re nervous. This can be overcome by relaxing and making eye contact. No matter how scared you might be, remember that you have worked hard for this and that you are capable of doing what they want.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Answering out of turn.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Not listening to the interviewer and answering even before his question is completed may put you in trouble. For you it is nervousness, but to the interviewer it comes out as over-confidence and a way of wanting to get it over with. So always listen before you answer and most importantly only when you are asked to answer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Talking too much:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nervousness may cause you to go on and on about one thing. This is not a good thing when it comes to interviews because the interviewers don\u2019t have much time to spare. They want everything crisp and to the point. This is why they ask questions like- \u201cplease take us through your life\u2019s journey\u201d or \u201ctalk about yourself\u201d. These are questions that have the lengthiest answers. It is your creativity as to how you put it to them in the shortest way possible yet, giving them all the information they need.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Not listening:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a way of showing disrespect, even though you don\u2019t mean to. Not listening or not paying attention will further result in the interviewer to repeat the question and because this happened, it will make you all the more uncomfortable. So always be attentive.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><strong>Usage of the unnecessary:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While talking in an interview you must keep in mind that it is a whole other level of being formal. Be precise and to the point.
