{"id":2018,"date":"2017-06-14T09:30:50","date_gmt":"2017-06-14T09:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dezinecareers.com\/\/?p=2018"},"modified":"2019-10-03T05:18:16","modified_gmt":"2019-10-03T05:18:16","slug":"5-correction-to-everyday-grammatical-errors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dezinecareers.com\/blog\/5-correction-to-everyday-grammatical-errors\/","title":{"rendered":"5 Correction to everyday grammatical errors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Below are a few of the many mistakes made in English VERBALLY AND NON-VERBALLY and how they can be corrected.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>APOSTRPHES:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Apostrophes may not be noticeable while speaking but it completely changes the meaning of the message being delivered when used wrongly in a sentence.<br \/>\nFor example:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dezinecareers.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/cancel.png\" \/> Janes file is over there.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dezinecareers.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/checked.png\" \/> Jane\u2019s file is over there.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dezinecareers.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/cancel.png\" \/> The computer\u2019s aren\u2019t working.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dezinecareers.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/checked.png\" \/> The computers aren\u2019t working.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>THE COULDS\/ WOULDS:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The basic difference between a \u201ccould\u201d and \u201cwould\u201d is that one expresses the possibility of doing it in future with some doubt and the other is the possibility of doing it with confidence.<br \/>\n<strong>For example:<\/strong><br \/>\nI could have made a better presentation.<br \/>\nI would have done it sooner.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>THERE\/THEIR<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This again may sound the same while speaking but are completely different when used in written English.<br \/>\n<strong>For example:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe books are kept over there.<br \/>\nTheir photographs aren\u2019t ready yet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DEGREES OF COMPARISON:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>There are various degrees of comparison like:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good&lt;better&lt;best<\/li>\n<li>Bad&lt;worse&lt;worst<\/li>\n<li>Tall&lt;taller&lt;tallest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But there are some words whose degrees of comparison are different:<\/p>\n<p>Beautiful cannot be beautifuller&lt;beautifullest<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/dezinecareers.com\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/cancel.png\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IN\/ AT\/ BY:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are prepositions that are used mostly to describe or speak about time.<br \/>\nFor example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please be there in time.<\/li>\n<li>I shall reach office by 6 in the evening.<\/li>\n<li>Office starts at 9 in the morning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below are a few of the many mistakes made in English VERBALLY AND NON-VERBALLY and how they can be corrected.
